The Deep Dark Wood Adventure is designed for little explorers approximately 18 months to 7 years old.

The experience is particularly lovely for toddlers and young children who enjoy stories, exploring and imaginative play. I will always work at your child's pace, so there's no expectation for them to sit still or "perform" for the camera.

If you're unsure whether it's right for your child, just get in touch and I'm very happy to advise.

Natural, earthy colours work beautifully with the set - creams, oatmeal, olive, sage, rust, mustard, brown and soft neutrals.

Dungarees, corduroy, knitted jumpers, simple dresses, tights and little boots all work wonderfully.

I'd recommend avoiding bright colours, large logos, neon shades and heavily patterned clothing, as these can distract from the woodland setting.

Once you've booked, I'll send you a simple styling guide with plenty of inspiration.

Each adventure lasts approximately 20 minutes. This provides plenty of time to explore the woods, meet the characters, and capture beautiful, natural moments without rushing.

Please allow a little extra time around your appointment for arriving and getting ready.

Siblings are very welcome to share an adventure together, and I'll make sure we capture photographs of them individually as well as together.

The session is designed to work beautifully for siblings, whether they're exploring the woodland side-by-side or discovering different characters along the way.

The booking fee covers one child. If you're bringing siblings, please let me know when booking so I can make sure the session is suitable for everyone.

That's absolutely fine - there is no pressure to perform for the camera.

Some children will run straight into the woodland adventure, while others need a little time to look around and take everything in.

I'll follow their lead, using the characters, props and Explorer Pass to encourage natural interaction rather than asking them to pose.

You don't need to worry if your child doesn't immediately smile at the camera. Some of my favourite photographs are the quiet, curious moments in between.
